The goalless draw leaves everything unchanged at the top levels. Cosenza unbeaten in Salerno but still fifth. The Sila team do not demerit the “Arechi”, they cancel the home defeat against Monopoli but still postpone their first victory of 2026. They will try again on Monday in the derby against Crotone. Going back to adding three points in one breath becomes increasingly important.
In Salerno, Emmausso is the “false new” in Buscè’s 4-3-2-1, the usual system maintained with the use of Ciotti as left midfielder. The rossoblù give the feeling of being able to puncture Raffaelle’s rearguard. In the 5th minute, however, Florenzi shoots high from inside the area while in the 14th and 35th minutes Cosenza scores but both the Eurogoals scored by Garritano and Florenzi are canceled due to the offside positions of Emmausso and Ricciardi, dispensers of the two assists. Before the break, however, Salernitana had the opportunity to take the lead but, after a hold by Caporale on Ferrari, the Argentine striker shot Vettorel (50′) in the mouth, previously engaged by Achik and Carriero.
The rossoblù have the chance to punish the opposing player’s mistake from the spot in the 19th minute of the second half: Emmausso passes for Kouan in the area, the Ivorian’s right diagonal hits the base of the post and returns to the field.
Buscè’s team risks being mocked 9′ from the end when Ferraris misses the target one meter from Vettorel following Achik’s low tip. Salernitana closes forward, Lupi a little tired but holding up.
