Cosenza’s pre-season retreat continues, continuing to work in the cool of Sila under the orders of coach Coppitelli.
The rossoblù group carries out the preparation program alternating between the Cittadella dello Sport of San Giovanni in Fiore and the sports field of Camigliatello, between technical-tactical, athletic and gym sessions.
In addition to the winger Pozzi, born in 2004, the group also included Evan Yokoyoko Bouabre, a 23-year-old midfielder, former Primavera player at Frosinone and at Sassari Latte Dolce, in Serie D, last year.
On the incoming market front, the company is close to defining new additions. We are only waiting for the official announcements of midfielder Antonio D’Alena, who has reached a two-year agreement with the rossoblù club, and of Ed McJannet, an Irishman born in 2004 owned by Lecce, ready to move on loan to the banks of Crati. The latter is also an element that the Sila coach knows well, having already trained him in the Salento Primavera (with which they graduated champions in the 2022-2023 season). In the last season, the Irishman played for Ternana, guaranteeing constant performance. With Liverani he was used as a midfielder, midfielder and also as a false attacking midfielder although he did not stand out for his technique but for his determination, dynamism and insertions without the ball. Almaviva (three-yearly) is also close to wearing the rossoblu. Only the last bureaucratic details remain to be ironed out before the official announcements. Spotlights always on Federico Proia, 36 appearances and 6 goals with Casertana under the guidance of Coppitelli.
Chapter exits. After the farewells of Florenzi, Mazzocchi and Rizzo Pinna, Alessandro Caporale could be the next to leave. The defender is followed by Brescia and Salernitana. Cosenza aims to close quickly as long as the right offer arrives.
In the meantime, the club has announced the training program until July 31st. Today, at 6 pm, the Wolves will have a joint training session against Union Kroton, a Promotion team. On Sunday, again at 6pm, a new test is scheduled with Morrone, fresh from promotion to Excellence. Preparation will end on Friday 31st with an official friendly match: at 5pm Cosenza will face Casarano in Cotronei, in a test that will offer important indications on the team’s growth.
On the other days the usual double session is scheduled: morning training at 10am in the Cittadella dello Sport in Saltante, in San Giovanni in Fiore, and afternoon work at 5.30pm on the Camigliatello pitch. The exceptions are tomorrow and Monday 27th, when the program includes only one afternoon session.
