The Cosenza City Council approved by a majority of the motion entitled “Revision of the DDL AS 1240 and protection of the researchers and researchers”, the first signatories the councilors Rende and Grazio.
With the motion, the city council commits the mayor and the junta to make his own and submit to the Italian government the request to repeal, as regards the bill as 1240, concerning “provisions on the enhancement and promotion of research”, articles 22-bis, 22-ter and 22-quater, which reduce the duration of the research contracts and the resources available, increasing the precariousness by decreasing the already limited possibility of the entry into the role of the researchers.
To make his own and submit to the Italian government the request to provide for a structural funding of the university pre-creation and the positions of Tenure Track, to be implemented through:
– a significant increase in equipment for research projects of interest
National (PRIN) and the National Operational Program (PON);
– the introduction of a specific article in the criteria for the allocation of the ordinary funding fund (FFO), with an increase in resources that have been reduced by half a billion for the next three years by the Government, allocating specific resources and annually bound to the recruitment and stabilization of the research personnel;
To start, through meetings on the theme, a path of awareness of citizenship on the themes concerning innovation and university research, also making use of the skills of researchers and researchers from the area, in fact the modification of the Bernini reform would also have an impact for the urban area of Cosenza-Rende which is characterized as a university city for the presence of the University of Calabria; In fact, at the University there are, on the year 2025, 148 ordinary professors, 336 associated professors, 206 permanent researchers, 59 researchers with Tenure (RTDB, RTT), 49 researchers without Tenure (RTDA), 319 doctorals currently underway.
For these reasons it is essential to support the protests and oppositions to the proposal by Minister Bernini who increases the precariousness in the university world who would instead need further resources to focus on the knowledge of our young people.
