The month of voting. The elections in Cosenza to designate the new president of the Province will take place – barring regulatory twists – in March. The current institutional regent of the organisation, Giancarlo Lamensa, a member of Fratelli d’Italia, will observe the indications dictated by current law. The provincial councilors of the centre-left, Giuseppe Ciacco and Gianfranco Tinto, formally asked the acting president the other day to call the electoral rallies. And Lamensa certainly does not intend to escape this obligation.
The so-called “wide field” coalition aims to regain the highest seat in Piazza XV marzo. An armchair snatched from the center-left by Rosaria Succurro, exponent of Forza Italia and former mayor of San Giovanni in Fiore.
The provincial secretary of the Democratic Party, Matteo Lettieri, confirms to our newspaper that he wants to play the match and overturn the previous result.
Even in the midst of a challenge raised against him by a part of the Dem through a motion of no confidence, the political exponent continues on his path aiming to find cohesion in view of the Provincials.
