The “Wolves” championship starts again from Sampdoria. A path made “accidented” by the penalty. But Alvini doesn’t want to think about it: «We are not last, so far we have taken five points». The coach keeps the team’s spirits high, having dined together on Thursday evening, confirming a good atmosphere within the group: “Every member is giving their all to ensure there is a positive climate. Club, directors, technical staff and team, we are all involved and eager to achieve salvation. It is easy to work in a similar context, and it has been like this since the first day in Cascia. The locker room is eager to do well, it is determined”, explained the coach on the eve of today’s match.
A very complicated match due to the quality of the opponent but also due to the unfavorable tradition. Alvini has shown that he knows the latter very well: «We have never won against Sampdoria, we will do everything to succeed now. It is a team built to be at the other end of the table. It has great qualities but we will give everything to give joy to our fans».
The coach acknowledged that there is still room for improvement in certain specific points of the match: “We are very careful about the statistics. These underline one fact, we are in deficit only in the first 7-8 minutes of the second half. We are working to change this aspect”.
And speaking of statistics, he made a special mention of Aldo Florenzi: «His parameters at the start of this season, in the first five official matches, are excellent. They allow him to place himself among the best midfielders in Serie B. Among the top 4-5. In modern football, it is essential that a midfielder is able to play both phases of the game and therefore it will often happen that players can be used higher or lower at times in the same match or in different challenges».
Coexistence Mauri-Florenzi? “They can play together. Of course, in particular matches they could be deployed on two different lines to provide the midfield with a physically strong midfielder. These are evaluations that we will make mainly on the eve of matches like the one against Sampdoria, a team with very dynamic and physical players.”

Training chapter. In light of Alvini’s words, if Charlys were to give guarantees (he had some physical problems during the trip to Sicily two weeks ago), he will be in the game from the first minute.
The coach will change little compared to “Barbera”. He also spoke about it yesterday morning in a press conference, «he does not intend to change much the balance achieved by the team group».
There could be a change in defense and attack, however. Venturi is the main suspect to occupy one of the three spots in the three-man back line. The Romagnola should replace Hristov.
Up front, Simone Mazzocchi could be seen again. The Milanese striker was left out against Palermo. In the first few games he didn’t look brilliant but Alvini – who has already had him with him in the past, in Reggio Emilia – is counting on him and doesn’t want to lose him on a mental level. Sankoh should therefore return to the bench, becoming useful during the game. The rossoblù have not released the list of players called up.
