This morning, in the Town Hall, the vice mayor Sandro Cretella met the new consul general of Romania in Bari Ioana Gheorghias.
The consulate represented by Dr. Gheorghias has jurisdiction over Calabria, Basilicata, Molise and Puglia.
The meeting was an opportunity to renew the previous relationships that the city of Crotone has with the consulate also in light of the fact that numerous Romanian citizens have been part of the social fabric of the city for some time.
The methods of possible cooperation of both an economic and cultural nature were explored in depth.
Furthermore, a further topic was that of the triple electoral appointment that Romanian citizens will have in 2024: the European and legislative elections and for the election of the President of the Republic of Romania.
The administration has given its availability for logistics in order to allow Romanian citizens living in the city territory to be able to exercise their right to vote.
