The control activity of the territory by the Crotone State Police continues, ordered by the police commissioner Renato Panvino and aimed at combating drug crimes and supervising subjects subjected to restrictive measures.
During the services, the Flying Police officers arrested PF, from Crotone, for the crime of escape. The man, already burdened by precedents for possession of clandestine weapons and receiving stolen goods, was under house arrest for murder and, in violation of the provisions imposed by the judicial authority, was caught outside his home without any authorization. Blocked by the officers, he was taken to the police station and, after the usual formalities, made available to the judicial authorities.
During the same operation, the Volanti personnel reported a man, IR, owner of a commercial business in the city centre, found in possession of 3.11 grams of hashish already divided into doses and hidden inside the premises.
Following the intervention, the Administrative Police Division implemented a provision to suspend the license for seven days, ordered by the Crotone police commissioner pursuant to art. 100 of the TULPS, in consideration of the dangerous conditions for public order and safety.
Furthermore, during the checks, two young people were reported to the prefect as they were found in possession of small quantities of cocaine (0.49 and 0.46 grams) intended for personal use.
The activity is part of the broader mechanism for preventing and combating drug trafficking coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Crotone, directed by the Prosecutor Domenico Guarascio, with the operational support of the Flying Squad, engaged in monitoring the criminal networks active in the area.
