A day of intense activity for the Crotone State Police, engaged in a series of checks arranged by the commissioner Renato Panvino to prevent crimes and guarantee safety in the area.
During the operations, the Volanti officers carried out an arrest order against CF, who was definitively sentenced to one year and six months in prison for persecutory acts committed against his ex-wife. The man, found near his home after careful searches, was arrested and subjected to house arrest.
Also on the same day, a second arrest concerned a foreign citizen, MS, already subjected to the precautionary measures of compulsory residence and presentation to the judicial police. The man had violated the requirements imposed by the court several times, which therefore ordered the aggravation of the measure with his transfer to prison.
The extraordinary checks also led to results on the prevention front: 257 people identified, 165 vehicles checked and five subjects subjected to restrictive measures verified. A man was also reported to the Prefecture after being found in possession of 0.5 grams of cocaine, intended for personal use.
The activity, as explained by the Police Headquarters, is part of the constant control plan of the territory and the strategy to combat the crimes that most impact the daily safety of citizens.
