At the Fuis stand, the Pro Loco were the protagonists of a rich program promoted by UNPLI at the Turin Book Fair. An extraordinary opportunity to present the editorial initiatives of the Pro Loco world and to tell, through books, experiences and projects, the value of local traditions and collective memory. To moderate the interventions the President Unpli Antonino La Spinato which thanks to it because it manages in an important and competent way to work with a model of territorial promotion and custody of the completely innovative and avant -garde Italian immaterial heritage for the benefit of all the territories of Italy. Among the presentations is a candidate Vibonese experiencessmartbook conceived and edited by Giusi FanellI, written by Claudia Maria de Masi and published by Renato Costa Edizioni Beroe and which was also a dialogue on the importance of the intangible heritage with the rites of the Holy Week of Daniele De Masi Edito Books on the same morning of 16 May. The project of promoting and enhancing the territory with Vibonese experiences at the Turin International Book Fair for the second consecutive year, begins Giusi Fanelli, Unpli Manager, continues incessant. A moment of precious confrontation with other cultural realities that, like us, invest in culture through innovative, accessible and current languages - thanks to the multimedia contribution in Italian produced by the Vibonese actors of La Ribalta APS – with the aim of spreading the roots of the past as identity forces and tourist attractors of the present.
The conclusion is that the project has great potential and is enjoying great success because it allows you to have non -usual itineraries where the tourist experience and the emotion in listening to audio content in multiple languages - thanks to the PCto project of the Vito Capialbi Institute of Vibo Valentia – on the places that are told become an innovative and accessible tourist offer to discover the wonders of archeology, myths and legends of our city. In just under a year we managed to achieve, thanks to the work of the publisher and the common intent of the author and curator, presentations in Calabria, among the most particular those along the coast of the gods on the beach or in amphitheatri at sunset, in Europe, Frankfurt and Tirana, present in these days in Cosenza at the Bretti Museum and from 5 to 8 June in Palermo at the 16th edition of the book Festival “A Marina di Libri”. Vibonese experiences has been the protagonist in television broadcast, on local radio, and not least in primary and secondary schools of second degree, updating history with workshops that have received enthusiasm and a lot of perspective on the importance of educating in local history and culture. In closing, the presentation of the new edition of the Guide to Quality Festivals, and therefore the official launch of the 2025 call for the “Save your local language” award, with the interventions of Antonino La Spina, President Unpli, Natale Rossi, President Fuis, Luca Abbruzzese, president of Ali Lazio, Bruno Manzi, Guarantor Committee of the Prize, Giovanni Solimine, honorary president of the Prize and Gabriele Desiderio, secretary of the prize. It can only be a pride but also a confirmation that is working well on the territory, the availability of the Unpli Calabria regional president, Filippo Capellupo and the president of the Pro Loco Vibo Città, Michele Catania who have decided to involve the project of Vibonese experiences at the Book Fair and which we thank. They conclude, De Masi Maria Claudia and the publisher Beroe Renato Costa that being present in the most important cultural container in Italy is a reason we are proud of and that we want to share with the city. The commitment to bring Vibo Valentia to the center of the national cultural landscape on the net and synergy with local territories continues thanks to the work and the associative purpose that the Unpli also aims.
