The 26 -year -old from Lecco Luca Colnaghi (VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè) conquered the victory in the 67th edition of the Cycling Tour of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, held today, Saturday 12 April. Colnaghi, at the first seasonal success, preceded the two escape companions to the sprint Davide Bais (Polti Visitmalta) e Lorenzo Mark Finn (Italian national team), with which he had benefited 20 km from the finish line.
The race, which started from Bova Marina and ended on the Falcomatà promenade in Reggio Calabria, developed on a route of 183.3 kilometers with about 1,800 meters in altitude. At the start 95 runners actually were actually at the start of 14 teams, including the Italian national team led by the new technical commissioner Marco Villaat his first official release in the new role. We need national and international showcases that allow to promote the image of the city, its landscape, natural, architectural, historical and cultural beauties and, certainly, the tour created with the Italian cycling federation and the professional cycling League, compared to which the metropolitan city has made a very strong intervention, without doubt between this kind of activity. We are very happy because the city appreciated, the public frame was fantastic, we witnessed an arrival in the sprint and we could really not ask for better. Even time, then, kissed this wonderful day. Of course, we will continue in this direction ».
