Yet another demonstration of his enormous talent. At the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, the international dance gala Les Étoiles was held, with many stars including the Messina doc, Davide Riccardo, the only Italian member of the New York ballet. He has a lot of talent, and it was already evident when Davide was still dancing in Messina. Over the years he has gained experience and today he is among the most popular dancers in the world. Anyone who saw it in New York knows it well, but on Italian soil it has another charm. Splendid show with Dimitry Smilevsky, superb Mira Nadon and Simone Repele. The show is inspired by Pistoletto’s “Third Paradise”. In the second part of the show, Davide Riccardo performed a solo and a duo with his longtime partner. He stood out for his beauty and elegance.
Davide’s story begins right in Messina when as a child of just 5 years old, watching the TV series “Paso adelante”, he repeated the steps of the dancers, arousing the loving attention of his aunt, while mother Rosita pressed the start button on the training. During the Messina period her teachers were Emma Prioli and Mimma Cubeta. At 13 he moved to the capital and the young man, then a teenager, after an audition at the dance school of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, was admitted to the fourth course and was the youngest student. Davide Riccardo joined the School of American Ballet, the official school of the NYCB, as a full-time student in the fall of 2015. In August 2018 he became an apprentice with the Company and joined the NYCB as a corps member dance in January 2019. In October 2023 Riccardo was promoted to soloist.
