Lorenzo Musetti won his debut match at the Queens tournament, an appointment on the London grass in preparation for Wimbledon, beating the world number 7 and second seed, the Australian Alex De Minaur, 2-1. The Italian came from behind, with a score of 1-6, 6-4 6-2, in just over two hours of play and in the second round he will face the British Daniel Evans or the American Brandon Nakashima.
Matteo Arnaldi, however, cameback to beat the Frenchman Ugo Humbert with a score of 3-6, 6-1, 7-6. In the next round, the Sanremo player will face the Australian Rinky Hijikata, number 98, who beat him in the only direct match in Delray Beach this year.
