Decollatura, 57-year-old falls while climbing: Alpine Rescue intervenes

Technical-medical intervention, particularly demanding, for the Catanzaro Alpine Station of the Calabria CNSAS Alpine and Speleological Rescue, alerted for a man, GC his initials, born in 1967 who, slipping, suffered a serious fracture to a lower limb during sport climbing with a group of friends.

The accident occurred at the Pietra di Fota cliff in the municipality of Decollatura, in the province of Catanzaro. The direct activation of the Cnsas Calabria by the same unfortunate person arrived around 3:00 pm.

The team of technicians and a health worker from Cnsas Calabria arrived at the scene of the accident and, after securing the injured man, provided first aid, stabilizing his fractured limb.
He was then packed up and transported to the nearest road where an ambulance from 118 was waiting for him.
