Here comes the 500 euro card dedicated to you 2024, payments from September: here’s who is entitled to it and how it works.
Distribution of the new card will begin on Monday 9th September ‘Dedicated to you‘ worth 500 euros a family nucleus For food, fuel or tpl subscriptions. The announcement is made by Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry stressing that 1,330,000 families will benefit from it, with ISEE income less than 15,000 euros. The paper can be withdrawn at post offices after receiving the communication from Municipality of residence. Citizens who benefit from other public contributions are excluded. «From Meloni Government concrete help”, said the minister Francesco LollobrigidaThis year, more resources have been allocated to the initiative: 600 million which have allowed the value of the card to be increased to 500 euros per family nucleus. For cardholders who are eligible in 2024, the amount of 500 euros will be automatically recharged.
Contribution details
«The measure, explains theINPSconsists of a financial contribution per family unit for a total amount of 500 euros, paid through electronic payment cardsprepaid and rechargeable, made available by Italian Post Office through the controlled company Postepay. The cards, assignable in a total number of 1,330,000, are delivered to those entitled at post offices authorized for the service, are nominative and made operational with the crediting of the contribution paid starting from the month of September 2024. The first payment must be made by December 16, 2024, under penalty of forfeiture of the benefit. Furthermore, the sums must be entirely used no later than February 28, 2025.
Destination of the contribution
The contribution is intended for the purchase of basic food necessities (such as bread, milk, meat, eggs, tuna etc.) with the exclusion of any type of alcoholic beverage, and the purchase of fuels. As an alternative to fuel, with the subsidy you can purchase subscriptions to local public transport services. TheINPS by 24 July 2024, makes available to individuals Municipalitiesthrough a specific web application, together with the operating instructions, the lists of beneficiaries in possession of the required requirements by identifying the family units resident in each Municipality.
Priority criteria: here’s who it belongs to
The first priority criterion refers to the age of the minors and to families with at least 3 members (family units made up of no less than three members, of which at least one was born before 31 December 2010, priority is given to units with an indicator Isee lowest). Immediately afterwards, families composed of no less than three members, of which at least one was born before 31 December 2006, will be favoured (always with priority given to families with theIsee lowest). Finally, to families with at least three members starting from those with Isee lower regardless of minor children.
“Dedicated to you” card 2024: instructions
The 2023 budget law established a fund, increased in 2024, intended forpurchase Of basic food necessitiesOf fuels or, alternatively, of subscriptions to local public transport services.
The new social card “Dedicated to you” is a measure intended for families resident in Italy, in possession of the following requirements (inter-ministerial decree 4 June 2024):
- registration of all members of the family unit in the municipal registry;
- valid ordinary ISEE certification, with an indicator not exceeding 15 thousand euros per year.
The beneficiaries do not have to submit any application, but are identified automatically among those who possess the required requisites.
The measure consists of a financial contribution per family unit of 500 eurosissued starting from from September 2024 through electronic payment cards, prepaid and rechargeable, made available by Poste Italiane SpA. Basic food necessities (indicated in Annex 1 of the decree) can be purchased at affiliated commercial establishments.
