The House Democratic leader’s new threat comes as support for Noem’s impeachment is growing among its members, with more than two-thirds of the caucus now co-sponsoring the articles of impeachment.

In the weeks after Renee Good’s killing, Jeffries avoided questions about impeachment, telling Axios as recently as last week that “we didn’t rule out anything and we didn’t include anything.”
The Pretti case accelerates the initiative
But the killing of Alex Pretti, which occurred on Saturday, gave a decisive acceleration to the initiative, even pushing some prominent centrist members, elected in swing districts and belonging to the leadership, to sign.

“Taxpayer dollars are being used by the Trump administration to kill American citizens,” Jeffries said in a joint statement with Whip Katherine Clark and Democratic Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar.
