Institutional visit to Diamante for the new police commissioner of the province of Cosenza, Antonio Borelli, welcomed at Palazzo di Città by the mayor Achille Ordine.
Focus on the Cirella police station
At the center of the meeting was the strengthening of security in the area and, in particular, the opening of the new Cirella Police Station, considered a strategic garrison to increase the presence of the State. «We thank the commissioner for the attention and availability shown towards our city – declared Ordine -. The visit represented an important moment of discussion on the main issues of the territory.”
The meeting was also attended by the deputy commissioner Ferruccio Martucci and the manager of the Paola police station Franco Cassano. After an inspection of the building that will house the new police station, the delegation visited the areas of Cammarotea-Cucco, where the new State Police quarters will be built.
A collaborative relationship
«The dialogue based on collaboration has consolidated the synergistic relationship with the State Police – added the mayor – confirming the attention of the institutions towards the needs of citizens». As a sign of gratitude, Police Commissioner Borelli was given a canvas depicting one of Diamante’s murals and an artistic crochet creation created by the “Ladies of the doilies”, symbols of tradition and the city’s identity.
