They are two centers in the Vibonese area, Francica and Ionadi, not directly involved among the recipient territories of the Community infringement procedure, but the sub-commissioner to the Purchant Antonino Daffinà, in perfect synergy with the guideline of Commissioner Fabio Fatuzzo, equally intends to listen to the requests and, if possible, to try to give solutions to the long-standing problems, in the context of the assignment of the coastal strip of the Vibonese coastal band- Mesima homogeneous area, for about six million euros. Thus, at the end of a dual moment of reflection with the mayors of the two centers concerned, Fabio Signoretta for Jonadi and Michele Mesiano for Francica, assisted by Rup Giulio Palma, Daffinà has clear ideas, putting on the table two possible paths to follow, in the wake of the planning already existing for the Vibonese compliance.
A first process would aim at the pairing of the municipalities of Ionadi, San Costantino Calabro and Francica, with a precise objective: to create a single sewage and purifying system with precise characteristics. Basically, it would be aimed at the implementation of a gravity collector of about four hundred meters until the lifting system located in the center of Ionadi. Therefore, the construction of an additional lifting system would proceed that convince the waste to San Costantino and Francica, to conclude with the development of an inter -municipal sewage network, with collectors and gravity conduct for the conveying of the waste, up to a new consortium purification plant, right in the territory of Francica.
The other approach imagined by the commissioner is different, with the idea of playing Ionadi’s wastewater to the new Filandari purifier (under design with other commissioner ownership intervention), specially sized for about 8,000 equivalent inhabitants. At the same time, the path would be pursued to merge San Costantino and Francica, collecting a new plant precisely in the second of the two municipalities.
Two tracks that can be traveled, however, starting from very precise stakes that commissioner Daffinà wanted to take to avoid escapes forward. “Our goal – he underlined at the end of the meeting with the two mayors – is always to improve purification even in those centers not directly affected by the Community infringement procedure. Of course, it should be pointed out that Jonadi, San Costantino and Francica are not the subject of our interventions, for which we do not have the resources necessary for the realization of specific works. We can however – concluded the Subcommissary with a significant opening, Prerogatives of each, putting each initiative with the competent subjects, curling and Calabria Region, in order to identify effective solutions for the critical solution that, we are aware of it, suffocate these territories “.
