A 56-year-old man died in the emergency room of Cosenza hospital and the family filed a complaint. It happened on Sunday when the man was found lifeless in the bathroom of the Annunziata emergency room. The 56-year-old, according to what was reported by his family, had felt unwell on Sunday morning and his wife had called the ambulance. When paramedics arrived, the man was conscious and went to hospital by ambulance to carry out further checks. Once he arrived at the emergency room, the man underwent some diagnostic tests such as a CT scan. When his wife arrived in the emergency room she found him on a stretcher. When, around 12, the woman returned to the emergency room to ask for news about her husband, not finding him on the stretcher, she asked the people present for information who told her that her husband had gone to the bathroom for a while. At that point the woman went to the bathroom, finding her husband lifeless and alerted the emergency services.
The medical staff tried to resuscitate him but there was nothing they could do for the man. The hospital itself had requested an autopsy to ascertain the causes of death. The family decided to file a complaint through their lawyer, Elvira Domanico. The Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation and tomorrow the task of carrying out the autopsy will be entrusted.
