This was declared by the regional councilor for Tourism, Sport and Entertainment Elvira Amata. «Unfortunately, the concomitant closure of the previous programming cycle and the start of the new 21/27 cycle – explains the councilor – required the finding of the necessary resources to be allocated to the planned interventions, including sports ones with greater tourist attractiveness, an element the latter which did not allow the initiatives to be supported in time. The Giro di Sicilia and the Giro d'Italia will certainly take place in 2025. We are already working together with RCS to continue the virtuous collaboration, with the aim of strengthening the results already achieved which will contribute to further enhancing our heritage also through other sporting events on the island”.
