As part of the territory control services, the Quaestor of Crotone Renato Panvino has ordered an imposing operation in the city of Capo Rizzuto Islandby committing numerous crews of the crime prevention department, together with the staff of the administrative police, the foreigners, the mobile team, the anti -crime, the Digos, the Traffic Police and the dog units, with the aim of preventing and repressing the crimes, in particular the drug dealing, as well as carrying out checks on prejudiced to home arrest and special supervisors.
In detail, during the checks 659 people were identified, 73 of which were positive in the SDI database and 18 non -EU citizens, while the controlled vehicles were 570. 10 control places were carried out, 15 home checks to subjects with police records and 2 checks for commercial establishments, as well as 11 disputes to the Highway Code.
During the operation, the administrative police, assisted by the Inspectorate of Labor, denounced 3 subjects in a state of freedom for carrying out a fireworks display without authorizations at a tourist village. 5 ignition control units for fireworks were seized, for a value of about 17,500 euros.
Staff of the Anti -Crime Division and the Mobile Squad has carried out further 15 checks to subjects subject to home detention, while the Foreign Office and Digos have verified the correspondence between the declarations of hospitality and the actual residences of 18 non -EU subjects, also checking a place of worship in the municipal area.
The traffic police carried out 273 checks on vehicles, 28 of which positive results in the database, and performed 6 further penalties to the Highway Code.
In Crotone, on the other hand, the flyers and set patrols, active in areas of the nightlife, identified 342 people (81 positive) and controlled 199 vehicles.
In the coast of Cirò Marina, frequented by tourists and seat of entertainment premises, 50 people (5 positives) were identified and 25 vehicles checked, with the aim of counteracting drug dealing and alcohol abuse, especially among young people.
Finally, 50 people were identified in Le Castella di Isola Capo Rizzuto, a famous seaside resort, of which 8 positives.
The operation confirmed the effectiveness of coordinated actions in the area for the protection of public safety, respect for legality and the contrast to widespread crime.
