Yesterday afternoon, Monday 29 December, in the headquarters of the Province of Crotone, the vice-president Fabio Manica signed the resolution which makes the office of president of the Province immediately executive. The organisation’s general secretary, Nicola Middonno, was present at the signing of the document.
On the same date, the Cirò Marina City Council declared Sergio Ferrari’s dismissal from the office of mayor. This provision also automatically led to the termination of Sergio Ferrari from the role of president of the Province of Crotone, in application of the art. 1, paragraph 65, of law no. 56/2014, who will hold the position of Regional Councilor.
In light of the regulatory provisions in force, starting from 29 December 2025, the vice-president Fabio Manica officially assumes the functions of president of the Province of Crotone, ensuring the administrative continuity of the institution pending the next institutional decisions.
In this regard, the new president Manica wanted to express his thanks to the Honorable Ferrari for having wanted him at his side in these years of provincial administration. A period which – he underlined – was characterized by intense work and an important path of personal and institutional growth, without ever shying away from the commitment necessary to bring the Province back to the central role it had in the past.
The results obtained under the guidance of the Ferrari president represent – according to Manica – confirmation of the quality of the work carried out. Looking to the coming months, he reiterated his desire to continue in continuity with the administrative action undertaken, counting on the support of the provincial offices and managers, to whom he expressed heartfelt thanks for the activity carried out so far, certain that further and significant goals can be achieved.
Finally, a personal wish was addressed to all the mayors and administrators of the province of Crotone, reiterating that the Province will continue to be the home of the Municipalities and citizens.
