Late yesterday evening, a serious autonomous accident occurred in Acri (in the Cosentino area) in via Scervini, near the Conad supermarket. For reasons still under investigation, a car coming from the bowls area suddenly left the road, crashing into an Enel booth and an advertising totem.
Immediately after the impact, the vehicle caught fire. Fortunately, the occupants managed to escape before the flames completely engulfed the cabin.
The Fire Brigade intervened on site, putting out the fire and making the area safe, and the police, who started investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. At the moment it is not clear whether the fire was the cause of the skid or whether, on the contrary, it broke out following the violent collision.
