In the late morning today alert from the 118 Operations Center for the Calabria Alpine and Speleological Rescue – CNSAS. A 43 year old lady was injured in a highly inaccessible areaabout two kilometers from the road, in the area of the Gallopane state reserve, in the Sila National Park. The woman, out with her husband to pick mushrooms, slipped and suffered a suspected fracture of a lower limb.
Technical interventions of the Sila C Alpine Stationamigliatello who, having promptly reached the woman, initially carried out the health assessment, immobilization and unpacking of the injured person. The 43-year-old was evacuated from the site of the injury using mountaineering techniques.
The technicians of the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of the Cosenza station also collaborated in the recovery. Once on the road, the woman was handed over to the 118 health workers for the necessary checks and for transport to hospital.
