Fear today in the Iranian consulate in Paris due to the intrusion of a man armed with explosives, who was later stopped.

A witness, according to what was reported by the prefecture, “saw a man enter the Iranian Consulate with a hand grenade or a vest stuffed with explosives”.

The police prefect, Laurent Nuñez, then ordered the immediate deployment of special units. The area has been entirely cordoned off and inaccessible to anyone other than the security services. Traffic on the subway lines serving the neighborhood was interrupted.

The man, who was stopped, declared that he had explosives with him and that he wanted to “avenge his brother”, according to what BFM TV learned from security sources.
