A 48-year-old man, apparently originally from Palermo, but resident in the area for years, was stabbed during the night in the historic center of Scaleaat the height of a fight between himself and another customer of a well-known club in the Tyrrhenian town. The man was wounded in the side by his attacker, fortunately suffering not deep wounds. According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the attack would have occurred, for trivial reasons, after a quarrel between the two which had probably already started inside the premises, located on the ancient staircase leading to the church of San Nicola in Platea. In fact, at the height of the argument, which had now degenerated, the attacker suddenly grabbed a knife, injuring the forty-eight year old while he was trying to escape his fury through the aforementioned staircase. Having collapsed to the ground, the man was immediately helped by some people, who then immediately called an ambulance, which, after the initial checks on his condition by the healthcare workers present, proceeded to transport him to hospital. The Carabinieri of the Scalea Company intervened on the scene, under the orders of Captain Giuseppe Regina, who immediately started the investigation, to identify the perpetrator of the vile gesture as soon as possible, apparently also resident in the Scalea area, but originally from of other areas.
