The judge for preliminary investigations rejected the request to carry out a psychiatric report on Stefano Argentinothe young man detained on charges of killing Sara Campanella On the afternoon of March 31 in Messina. The request had been submitted in recent days by the lawyer Giuseppe Cultreradefender of Argentine, who had urged the start of an evidentiary accident on the evaluation of the psychic state of his client. Cultrera had motivated the request by underlining that Argentine’s father has been on a care for a psychiatric disorder since 2016 and had attached a detailed report signed by the young man’s mother, in which the family situation was described.
Despite these arguments, the judge decided not to authorize the evidentiary accident. The decision, however, does not exclude that a psychiatric report can be arranged in the course of a possible process.
