Fear in the night in Fuscaldo, in the province of Cosenza, where a fire of malicious origin devastated a stable located on the outskirts of the country, causing the death of four horses. The alarm took place when some residents noticed flames and smoke coming from the structure. The firefighters intervened on the spot, who worked for hours to tame the stake and secure the area.
Despite the timely rescue, there was nothing to do for animals: they would have been trapped inside the stable, now completely surrounded by the flames.
The first investigations of the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Paola immediately brought out the malicious nature of the fire. After an intense investigative activity, the military identified and arrested the alleged manager, a local man, now accused of a malicious fire and killing of animals. The motive of the gesture would still be under consideration by the investigators, who do not exclude possible disagreements of a personal or economic nature. The area was seized for further technical findings.
