Fire in Miletus, twenty hectares of Mediterranean scrub have been destroyed

A vast fire developed in the municipal area of ​​Mileto, in the Vibonese, near the A2 motorway junction of the Mediterranean involving brush surfaces, Mediterranean scrub and an olive grove. The AIB team of Calabria Verde intervened on the spot which, given the size of the fire, required the intervention of the DOS (Director of the shutdown) of the Fire Brigade for the activation of the air support also from the Unified Air Operations Center of the Department of Civil Protection that manages the operations for extinguishing forest fires using the State air fleet. Two in particular Canadair employed, as well as a helicopter. After about 35 launches of water, the fire was then placed under control and the extinguishing completed with the reclamation operations of the small outbreaks left. About twenty hectares of crops, forest and Mediterranean scrub have been destroyed.
