A discussion between a woman and her partner, which took place in full road in Reggio Calabria, has degenerated in a brutal aggressionon the evening of 23 March last. He claimed to control the girlfriend’s phone, blinded by jealousy; to his refusal, he reacted with a gesture as sudden as it is serious: a kick launched with the head strengthwho caused a significant wound to the woman.
The victim, despite the shock, found the courage to turn to the carabinieri the following day, telling what happened and thus breaking a silence that lasted months. The complaint started an investigation coordinated by the prosecutor of Reggio Calabria directed by Giuseppe Lombardo, who brought out a far wider picture of violence and overwhelming, perpetrated over time by his partner.
According to what was reconstructed by the military of the main Reggio Calabria station, the man would have repeatedly threatened and mistreated the woman, with aggressive conduct, both verbal and physical, culminating in the episode of 23 March. The investigative activity, also supported by video surveillance images, made it possible to collect decisive tests against the suspect.
At the disposal of the judicial authority, the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching the offended person, strengthened by the obligation of the electronic bracelet.
