“Former Garibaldi barracks”, the carabinieri renounce the property. Mayor Romeo: “We will find an adequate location for them”

The Provincial Command of the Carabinieri Army communicated to the Municipality of Vibo Valentia That the historic building “former Garibaldi barracks”, which currently hosts the Don Bosco educational institution, is no longer of interest for the institutional purposes of the weapon. As will be remembered, in recent years the Municipality and the Provincial Command entered into an agreement for the granting of the property. Today, ascertained the persistence of the museum bond for five years from the date of delivery as the destination of the property, the command intended to give up communicating the decision to the body. The news is given by the mayor Enzo Romeo, who declares: “I received the news directly from Colonel Toti, to whom I have however ensured that the Municipality will undertake to support the weapon in every way possible in order to guarantee an adequate location for the service needs”.
