Two more days of free admission in the museums and archaeological parks of Sicily: they are added to the first Sunday of the month just passed. This was established by the Region. Saturday 8 Marchon the occasion of the International Women’s Day, access will be free for all visitors. Monday 10 Marchon the occasion of the day of Sicilian cultural heritage, everyone can visit the island’s cultural sites for free. This day is dedicated to the memory of Sebastiano Tusa, archaeologist and regional councilor, tragically disappeared in the air disaster in Ethiopia in 2019.
“With these other two days – says the Councilor for Cultural Heritage and Sicilian identity, Francesco Paolo Scarpinato -, the free entrances to the places of the culture of Sicily go up to three in March, also considering the first Sunday of the month, on March 2, already scheduled as a day of free use. This choice confirms the attention of the Schifani government to the enhancement of culture and knowledge, to the support of families and the promotion of the places of aggregation, in particular encouraging the participation of young people “.
