At least 22 people were killed by Israeli bombing last night on the city of Jabalya, in the northern Gaza Strip: this was announced by the director of local emergency services, Fares Afana. The bodies of the victims were transferred to Al-Ahli hospital. CNN reports it. In addition to the dead, there are also injured and “a certain number of missing people still under the rubble”, added Afana.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that several airstrikes hit a densely populated neighborhood of Jabalya overnight. Wafa reported at least 30 injured and 14 missing.
Between Gaza and Lebanon 280 terrorist targets hit
The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) announced that “around 280 terrorist targets were hit in Lebanon and Gaza over the Yom Kippur weekend”. Unifil: another peacekeeper injured in southern Lebanon
Another peacekeeper was injured in southern Lebanon, the fifth in two days. Unifil reports this. «Yesterday evening, a peacekeeper at the UIFIL headquarters» in Naqura «was hit by gunfire due to military activities taking place nearby… We do not yet know the origin of the shot», we read in a note which also specifies that the peacekeeper’s condition is “stable”.
Hezbollah launches drones against military base in Haifa
Hezbollah announced it had launched a drone attack on a military base in Haifa, northern Israel, hours after claiming an attack on another base south of the city.
The Israeli military said it had intercepted two drones launched from Lebanon before they crossed into Israeli territory. There were no casualties, they added.
Tajani: on Unifil we want to know what happened
