The Financial Police of Reggio Calabria has arrested a woman of Chinese origin accused of aiding and exploitation of prostitution. The precautionary detention order under house arrest was issued by the GIP of the Court of Palmi, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, directed by the prosecutor Emanuele Crescenti.

According to what emerged from the investigations of the Gioia Tauro Group, the woman ran a fake massage center in the Gioia Tauro plain which, in reality, hosted paid meetings between customers and some oriental women. Appointments were made via online advertisements, while the suspect took care of everything: she answered phone calls, provided directions to the apartment, welcomed customers and collected the money.

The investigative activity, also with technical tools, made it possible to collect serious clues and locate the woman in an accommodation facility in Rome, where she was arrested and placed under house arrest.
