An emergency majority meeting called on Sunday to discuss the “Filippone problem”, followed by a vote that would have led to his exclusion from the instant messaging groups through which the majority itself coordinates political meetings and communications.
This, according to rumors coming from Palazzo Sant’Ippolito, is the political price that councilor Enzo Filippone is paying after publicly exposing himself during the last press conference called by the Giangurgolo theater group from Gioia.
At the center of the matter is the Municipality’s decision to revoke the loan for use of the property that houses the Piccolo Teatro, the historical headquarters of the cultural association, motivated by alleged critical issues related to public safety and the intended use of the building. A provision that comes after more than thirty years of activity by the group and which has inevitably ignited the city’s political conflict.
