Giovanni Allevi will be today (5 July) at the Antico Theater of Taormina with “Music from the soul”a unique, intense project designed to celebrate life in all its nuances. Taormina’s appointment is organized by Show Biz, Live Shows, Concert and GAMP.

Maestro Allevi is not just a musician: he is a composer, pianist, philosopher, writer. He is a composer capable of speaking to the new generations, breaking down the walls between classic and contemporary. His career, between international stages and prestigious prizes, between best-seller books and personal battles, is today a manifesto for many young people and beyond.

Allevi will stage in addition to his philosophical and spiritual world, his beloved piano, and at the forefront, the “concert mm22 for cello and orchestra” composed during hospital hospitalization. A work conceived between pain and hope, where the word “myeloma” becomes sound and sweet melody. Inside those notes, which explore inner abysses and glimpses of light, there is everything: fragility, beauty, determination, courage, nostalgia.

Own “Nostalgia”, cantabile adagio for cello and arches orchestra, first extracted from the MM22 concert, becomes a singleavailable on all digital platforms and stores.

The cello melody of “nostalgia” emerges from the darkness first serenely, to then shake the soul in a excited dialogue with the orchestra. In the culmination of intensity, the emotion dissolves any resistance and love for life triumphs on suffering and uncertainty. “That of nostalgia is a poignant music, which shakes deeply, an invitation to stop and listen to one’s soul, to find that inner happiness that has been hidden by the difficulties of life” says Giovanni Allevi.
At the same time as the release of the composition, there will be the first world execution, together with the Japanese orchestra Kizuna Chamber Orchestra, in the concert at Osaka Expo on the occasion of the celebrations of the Italian Republic Day. It is the first time that a song of classical music was launched as a single, testifying to a profound change in the way of conceiving and sharing cultured music, reaching a transversal audience. “Nostalgia” thus becomes not only a song, but a bridge between eras and generations.

A special guest is scheduled in Taormina. Giovanni Allevi will host the theologian and philosopher Vito Mancusocritical and free voice of contemporary religious thought, author of essays who question spirituality with depth and courage. The object of reflection will be “the sacred”.
