Kasper Asgreen won the fourteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia 2025, the 195 km Treviso-Nova-Nova. The Danish won alone with an advantage of 16 »on Kaden Groves (Alpecin – Deceuninck) and Olav Kooij (Team Visma | Lease A Bike).
Isaac Del Toro remains in the pink jersey, but a fall 22 km from the arrival due to the wet asphalt – which involved several classification men – mixed the cards regarding the detachments in the general.
In the initial part Kasper Asgreen (EF Education), Davy Clement (Groupama FDJ), Louis Meintjes (Interperche Wanty), Mirco Maestri (Polti Visit Malta), Martin Marcellusi (VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizanè) took off, the group has maintained the detachment around 2 minutes.
In the final part of the hamlet, a fall in the first positions split the race, Ciccone remained painful on the ground, Antonio Tiberi and Juan Ayuso instead lost precious minutes from the pink jersey: Del Toro, in fact, found himself in the main group together with the Visma.
Tomorrow we return to the street with the fifteenth stage, the Veneto – Asiago river of 219 km with Mount Grappa halfway through the street which could create further problems for the big names.
