An incredible sprint, decided only in the photo finish. Tim Merlier triumphed in the third stage of the 2024 Giro d'Italia, the Belgian beat Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) and Biniam Girmay (Intermarchè – Wanty) by a whisker in the 166 kilometer Novara – Fossano. Incredible finish with Tadej Pogacar and Geraint Thomas who gained several meters in the final sprint just before the finish line, the two leading the general classification were however caught 300 meters from the finish line by the sprinters. Nothing changes regarding the pink jersey, which remains on the shoulders of the Slovenian. Tomorrow we return to the road with the fourth stage, the Acqui Terme – Andora of 190 kilometers.
