Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori’s journey to the ATP Finals underway in Turin is interrupted in the semifinals. The blue couple, in fact, lost to Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten in two sets, with the score 6-4 6-3 after an hour and a quarter of play. It was an almost storyless match, given that Bolelli and Vavassori almost never managed to worry the duo made up of the Finn and the British in their turns at serve, proving, at the same time, vulnerable to serve. The winners of the last Australian Open were therefore “enough” with breaks in the third game in the first set and in the third and ninth games in the second set. The program at the Inalpi Arena will resume no earlier than 2.30pm with the match between Jannik Sinner and Alex de Minaur, while from 8.30pm it will be the turn of Carlos Alcaraz and Felix Auger-Aliassime: in the middle, no earlier than 6pm, the British derby between Salisbury/Skupski and Cash/Glasspool which will determine the other finalist couple who will compete in the doubles tournament against Heliovaara and Patten.
