After the necessary technical investigations, the Minister of Labor and Social Policies, Marina Calderone, and the Minister for Civil Protection Nello Musumeci, defined and sent for government investigation the supplementary amendment to the decree-law for the benefit of those affected by the Niscemi landslide and Cyclone Harry in Sicily, Calabria and Sardinia. «The objective of the intervention – explain the two ministers – is to ensure speed and effectiveness in the provision of economic support measures, financed with public resources, in favor of people affected by calamitous events. The amendment also allows us to avoid the creation of differentiated regional disciplines on a matter of state competence, thus guaranteeing uniformity and equal treatment between the territories and citizens involved”.
