A little over two and a half years since the last time, Lewis Hamilton returns to Grand Prix victoryand he does it at home, in Silverstone, on the circuit that is probably the most special for the seven-time world champion. Nine wins for the British driver in the English race, good at taking advantage of the retirement of the poleman and his teammate, George Russell, and in defending against Lando Norris. Third, in fact, is his compatriot from McLaren, with Max Verstappen who instead finishes in second position, maximizing the result in the battle with Norris during the final laps.
Fourth is the other McLaren of Oscar Piastri, who precedes Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari – managed to get the additional point for the fastest lap at the last attempt – fifth and off the podium, as did the other Red of Charles Leclerc who finished in fifteenth position due to a pit stop choice that later turned out not to be favorable to the Monegasque’s race. Sixth was the surprising Haas of Nico Hulkenberg, followed by the two Aston Martins of Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, with the Williams of Alexander Albon and the Racing Bulls of Yuki Tsunoda closing the top ten.

Unfortunately the rain actually arrived eight laps later and that destroyed our tyres. We are one of the few cars that threw the race away. Now we will analyse everything and understand if something more could have been done”, concludes the Monegasque
