Crotone deludes themselves into thinking they have the game in hand, then crumbles under Potenza’s blows. From a double lead to a 4-2 defeat, with four goals conceded in just half an hour: at the «Viviani» the rossoblù squandered what they had built in the first half and paid dearly for a second half to forget. The match immediately goes downhill: after 50 seconds Bura deflects Grosso’s cross into his own goal. Merelli neutralizes Castorani’s penalty and in the 44th minute Grosso doubles the lead through Diego Russo. But in the second half everything changes. Selleri shortens in the 51st minute, Castorani equalizes in the 62nd minute and Petrungaro completes the comeback six minutes later. In the 76th minute Staver scores the poker. Crotone reacts with Brignola’s crossbar and Grosso’s header blocked by Cucchietti. Too late to remedy a collapse that leaves its mark: Greco’s team produces chances, but shows that it is unable to manage the advantage and contain the opponent’s reaction.
