He arrives at the Messina Polyclinic with acid burns: investigations underway into the victim’s version

He arrived at the emergency room of the Messina Polyclinic yesterday evening with several burns on his body (on the face, chest and abdomen), telling the doctors that he had been attacked with acid. The episode, which according to initial information occurred inside the man’s home, is still being examined by investigators. The victim, who reportedly reported having been attacked by a woman, was subjected to medical care and, from initial information, his life is not in danger. However, the man (born 1968) was transferred to the large burns center in Catania. Investigations into the case are underway by the Carabinieri (Messina South) and the police, committed to reconstructing the dynamics of the incident and verifying the man’s story.
