Police officers from the Borgo Ognina police station in Catania have reported a 51-year-old resident in the province of Reggio Calabria for telephone harassment. The investigations began after the complaint of a 22-year-old who for a few days had been receiving messages and calls from a telephone number unknown to her. What also worried her was the tone of the messages which had generated a persistent state of anxiety and fear in her. The police, also using databases, traced the identity of the man who was using the phone card from which the phone calls and messages had originated. The man, with specific precedents against him, was therefore reached and reported to the judicial authorities.
