During the inspection of a restaurant, carried out with the technical support of the personnel of the ASP of Messina, the military reported the owner, held responsible for having put on sale food products bearing false indications on the label, as well as for attempted commercial fraud, or for having attempted to administer frozen foods by passing them off as fresh, since he had not indicated the conservation status of the product in the menus.

Over the last weekend, the Carabinieri of the Milazzo Company prepared a specific plan of checks and patrols, even at night, aimed at guaranteeing the safety of citizens, with the aim of preventing and repressing any form of illegality.

During the service, attention was also paid to the Highway Code, with the control of more than 150 vehicles and over 200 people and the reporting of various violations. Two people were stopped at driving while under the influence of alcohol and one for having refused to undergo an alcohol test. Furthermore, six other people were reported – for various reasons – two for carrying a prohibited knife, one for being caught damaging a parked car, while another individual, in the context of the control of legally held weapons, was was referred for failing to communicate the change of domicile of the place where the duly reported weapons were kept.

As part of the anti-drug activity, 3 young people aged between 18 and 25 were reported to the Prefecture of Messina as drug users, as they were found in possession of doses of marijuana and hashish held for personal use, seized by the military and sent to the Carabinieri of the RIS of Messina for the relevant laboratory analyses.
