The Carabinieri of the Cirò Marina Company arrested a 23-year-old local boy in flagrante delicto for violating the ban on approaching his mother.
Last spring, in fact, the woman had turned to the Carabinieri after her son, on an almost daily basis, had insulted, denigrated and threatened her, even for trivial reasons, most recently attacking her, at the end of April, with a violent headbutt to the eyebrow for the sole fact of having advised him against drinking coffee in the early evening.
The investigations carried out immediately after receiving the complaint had then highlighted, as often happens, a picture of threats and harassment that had been going on for a long time: these were the reasons for which the Crotone Public Prosecutor’s Office had made a request for a precautionary measure, subsequently issued by the Judge for preliminary investigations, who had ordered the ban on approaching the mother, with the application of the electronic bracelet.
On Saturday evening, however, following an alert received at the Carabinieri Operations Centre, the young man, not paying attention to the requirements, was surprised by the military operating in an apartment in the company of his mother, who he would not have been able to get close to. The twenty-three-year-old was therefore put in handcuffs.
