“To break down the waiting lists we must break the patterns and also work on Saturdays and Sundays.” This is what the Regional Councilor of Forza Italia announces with determination, Antonello Talerico, outlining an operational plan that aims to concretely reform the organization of the regional health system.
The project, which will also be started at the “Renato Dulbecco” University Hospital in Catanzaro, provides for the activation of diagnostic and radiological tests even on weekends, so as to increase the offer and give faster answers to citizens. “We can no longer allow us that the sick await months or years for a resonance or tac – says Talerico -. We must guarantee timely diagnoses for timely treatments and reduce health migration.”
But the project does not stop there. The initiative also aims to enhance the merit among health professionalsthe. “Those who work more and better, those who guarantee efficiency and quality must be rewarded – underlines Talerico -. Public health needs concrete stimuli and awards, especially for those who dedicate themselves with commitment to patients every day.”
A strategy, therefore, which aims at a double effectiveness: drastically reduce waiting lists and improve the quality of health services. “We need a health system that responds to the needs of citizens, that it is modern, dynamic and close to people – concludes Talerico -. This is only the beginning.”
