The announcement of the Football Federation
The Football Federation has officially announced on its website the news, anticipated by ANSA, of the agreement with Luciano Spalletti for the position of coach of the Italian national team. Spalletti will bring a streamlined staff, 3-4 loyalists
No revolutions are expected in the blue staff with the arrival of Luciano Spalletti as the new coach. The coach from Certaldo should only bring 3-4 loyalists, starting with the historic right-hand man, the 64-year-old Marco Domenichini. It is probable that the athletic trainer Francesco Sinatti and one between Daniele Baldini and Alessandro Pane (harder than both) will also follow him as technical assistant.
Instead, most of the appointments announced by the FIGC before Roberto Mancini’s step back should be confirmed: Gianluigi Buffon as head of delegation, Andrea Barzagli to take care of the defensive phase and the match analyst, Antonio Gagliardi. Some more doubts for Alberto Bollini, who had been promoted to vice after the triumph with the Under 19 at the European Championships, and for team manager Lele Oriali who will speak with Spalletti before deciding on a possible stay.
A new goalkeeper coach is also possible: Alejandro Lopez remained in Naples, Spalletti could turn to Adriano Bonaiuti who he had at Inter or Adalberto Grigioni who has just left Lazio after 18 years.
