A land that is a little parched and tiring, just as the path of this little boy who climbs up trying to find his wholeness after the loss of his mother is tiring. At the same time it is a Calabria full of wonderful places, valid professionals and excellent workers. This is the image that the director, the actors and the producers convey of Calabria at the end of shooting the film ‘I won’t leave you alone by Fabrizio Cattani.

The film, based on the novel of the same name by Gianluca Antoni published by Salani, produced by Gianluca Curti, Emanuele Nespeca, Elisabetta Olmi and Tilde Corsiis an exciting and passionate film, capable of playing on the edge of different genres: like a modern fairy tale, the story will unfold in a pressing and unexpected way, coloring what seems like a classic coming-of-age with the fascinating colors of noir.

The filming of “I Don’t Leave You Alone” was filmed between Camigliatello Silano and the municipalities of Spezzano, Celico, San Giovani in Fiore, Rende, Castrolibero and Cosenza. 35 out of 50 Calabrian units participated in the filming.

«Calabria is acquiring a national reputation – he said Antonio Giulio Grande president of the Calabria Film Commission – because it is esteemed, recognized and appreciated. There are many existing projects, three tenders, one more successful than the other.” Performers of the film are Andrea Matrone and Michael D’Arma at their first film test, but already projected towards the future despite their very young age. «We are happy to have discovered Calabria and to have filmed here. There’s school but for now the idea is to continue acting” say Andrea and Michael who became inseparable friends after a month of filming. Also in the cast are Giorgio Pasotti and Valentina Cervi
