But it is not just a statistical value, it is the second highest figure in Italy, just below Puglia. And it is the concrete measure of the silent effort that is consumed every day in the homes of those who try to make ends meet with stable incomes and growing costs. In Calabria, the crisis has never really ended. Families have long learned to tighten up on expenses, to give up, to make choices. But now, that residual margin has become slim.
