“We are facing an unprecedented administrative emergency.” Codacons’ complaint against Aterp Calabria continues after the association had already requested the intervention of the Court of Auditors in recent days.
Hundreds of clearly unfounded payment requests – based according to Codacons on incorrect data, time-barred credits or referring to properties already redeemed – continue to reach citizens, accompanied by threats of compulsory procedures. A management defined as “regular” by the institution but which, in fact, Codacons claims, “appears chaotic, disorderly and profoundly harmful to users’ rights”, so much so that Codacons has already sent a formal complaint to the regional prosecutor’s office of the Court of Auditors, reporting possible treasury damages.
